Shipping and returns
- What does shipping cost?
- Shipping via the US Post Office is always FREE within the US, Canada, and Mexico. Shipping elsewhere, via regular mail, is $12.00 for up to 5 Boot Sliders.
- How long does shipping take?
- Within the US shipping should take about 7 days from the date of order; Canada and Mexico about 5 days longer; Outside of North America about 2 weeks.
- Can I track my order?
- Yes! Once shipped, you’ll get a tracking number by email. Use it on the US Postal Service site to track your order.
- Can I return my purchase if I don’t like it?
- Your satisfaction is our priority and you can return your Boot Slider within 30 days for a full refund. Send an email to returns@bootsliders.com to get a return code and instructions.
- How does the Lifetime Guarantee work?
- The most fragile aspect of the Boot Slider is the cord. If this breaks, send a picture to us at guarantee@bootsliders.com along with your mailing address, and we’ll send a replacement along with instructions to use it with your Boot Slider. Replacement cords are longer than our original, but require tying a knot to attach to your Slider. You can easily use any sort of rope to replace the cord yourself, of course.
- If the Boot Slider itself gets broken for any reason, send it regular mail to: Returns – Boot Sliders, 4 Jay Street, Cambridge, MA 02139 USA and include your mailing address, and we will replace it. Please alert us of your need to do this at this Return link, so we will be ready to handle it and have records to improve our product.
Boot Slider questions
- Why are there bumps on the edges of my Boot Slider?
- When you use the Boot Slider, you will notice bumps along the edges. These are caused from the slight stretch to the Slider when you pull it out of your boot. In all of our testing, these have no effect on performance of your slider – ease of removal, slippery-ness, ability to be rolled up – all these attributes are unaffected by these bumps.
- PTFE is plastic, right? That’s bad, isn’t it?
- Yes, it is. However, specific qualities of PTFE, in particular its uniquely low coefficient of friction, make it the only material we have found that really works as a Boot Slider. Plus, it is extremely durable – as you can see from our Lifetime Guarantee, your Boot Slider should last forever and so not end up in a landfill.
- Can I recycle it if I want to?
- Probably not. It’s black, which most recyclers do not accept, and PTFE is difficult to recycle anyway. If you really are done using it and can’t find anyone to give it to, you can send it back to us and we can work with our supplier to reuse the Slider for their own PTFE work.
- If the cord breaks, do I need to send it back to you for a replacement?
- No, simply send a picture to us at guarantee@bootsliders.com along with your mailing address, and we’ll send a replacement along with instructions to use it with your Boot Slider. Replacement cords are longer than our original, but require tying a knot to attach to your Slider. You can easily use any sort of rope to replace the cord yourself, of course.
